The Innovate Alabama Talent Pilot Program is a new funding opportunity created to support Alabama-based companies piloting bold, scalable solutions to the state’s most pressing workforce challenges.

This pilot program is designed to fund innovative work-based learning and talent development initiatives, including paid internships, hands-on learning models and other programs that help prepare Alabamians for careers in STEM and entrepreneurship.

Through one-year grants, selected companies will have the chance to pilot, test and refine their ideas — laying the groundwork for long-term, sustainable solutions that align with Alabama’s economic priorities.

To qualify, proposals must:

• Be led by an Alabama-based company
• Focus on talent development in STEM and/or entrepreneurship
• Serve K-12 or higher ed students/educators or the adult workforce
• Demonstrate clear goals, measurable outcomes and a strategy for scaling
• Show potential for regional or rural impact
